In this post you can read everthing about our Kx250 rebuild.
We did it again !! Bought an old Kx250 from 1993. The Kawasaki was still running but made some strange noises and had several oil leakages.
The engine had some cracks and so we broke the complete bike down to have an overview of how much work it will be.
We started disassembling the engine, the crankcases were all full of cracks and so they fall apart. We also recognized that some cracks were just bad welded by a previous owners.
After sandblasting the crankcase parts we started to TIG-welded them …. this came out to be a work for 1000hours.
